Fortnite Week 9 Missions

The following is a breakdown of the Fortnite Week 9 missions along with some tips on how to beat them. When specific information is needed, we will update the piece once the missions are live. Each Fortnite Season 3 mission will be worth 15,000 XP.

Gain shields while emoting 0/1

A very simple quest to start this week. Find a shield barrel, throw it at your party’s feet, and start dancing while raising your defenses for an easy 15,000XP.

Deal damage to opponents while riding a wolf or boar 0/500

While this quest is pretty self-explanatory, it can take a couple of games to complete if you don’t come across a very good vantage point and a long range rifle. Aiming while moving on a wolf or boar is challenging, so racking up 500 damage in a single game is pretty unlikely, so keep that in mind.

Collect seeds from reality seed pods before they stop bouncing 0/3

While reality pods can now be found more frequently on the map, the best place to find them is still the Reality Falls location. This area is usually quite popular, with a lot of players heading there, so don’t be too surprised if taking one of the seeds requires several tries as players try to rack up their kills.

Plant or summon a reality sprout within 30 meters or more of you 0/1

Now that you got your seed from the previous quest, what better way to use it than to plant it for another easy 15,000XP? To complete this, simply stand on a ledge and throw the seed as far as you can, hoping it will land and plant itself in the ground.

Open chests in Tilted Towers in a single match 0/3

Perhaps the most challenging of the Fortnite Week 9 missions is this one, which requires you to open three chests in Tilted Towers within the same match.

Due to Tilted Towers’ popularity and near-central location on the map, it’s almost always a hotly contested landing that will require a lot of combat early in the game. Combine that with the number of people also wanting to complete this quest and it might be best to leave it for a while. However, for the determined player, landing on the roof of a building and then working your way down, opening chests as you do so might be your best chance.

Bounce on 3 separate Crash Pads without landing 0/1

This mission is best completed as a trio or a squad. Try to collect as many crash pads as you can, place them close to each other but not too close, and then bounce around them until you complete the mission. This is the most RNG-reliant task among the Fortnite week 9 missions, but if you manage to find the pads, it shouldn’t be much of a problem.

Hold a charging SMG at max charge for 3 seconds, then damage an opponent 0/1

Sorry for the Fortnite players who don’t like the loaded SMG, but you’ll have to put in the effort to get this 15,000XP. This mission can be best accomplished in duos or more, having one player charge up the SMG before pulling an enemy towards it to secure damage.

Another way to get it would be to charge it up and then approach other players in the middle of a firefight, spraying them both to maximize your chances of success.
