Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Leaks have popped up constantly over the past few months, with the latest one highlighting some of the killstreaks that are supposed to appear in the game. These include a cluster spike, a fuel bomb, a smoke airdrop, a thermobaric strike, and the UAV. However, fans can expect to see a lot more streaks revealed ahead of release, as Obligations games usually offer a good variety of streaks to choose from.
While some of these killstreaks are interesting twists on classic streaks, like the Smoke Airdrop, it would be nice to see some iconic killstreaks in their original forms. With some of the best streaks coming from the covert operations series and others that come directly from Modern warit would be great to see Infinity Ward pull the best options out of each game to deliver the best lineup in the series with Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.
Classic Call of Duty streaks that should appear in MW2
With Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Seemingly set to bring back maps like Highrise, it also makes sense to draw streaks from the beloved 2009 game. One option is the Pave Low, a more powerful attack helicopter with two machine guns instead of one that’s twice as effective as a regular helicopter. Along with this powerful streak, it would be great to see the return of Harrier Strike as well. Harrier Strikes not only provided two bombing runs, but after the bombs were dropped, one Harrier would stay and fire at enemies.
Alongside these mid-tier kills, it would be great to see Infinity Ward revive their versions of the Chopper Gunner and AC-130. The Chopper Gunner’s deadly shots helped many players secure their tactical nukes in 2009, while everyone who played the original modern warfare 2 You’ll probably remember the terrifying dialogue where a soldier yells “Enemy AC-130 up!” Even if the kill requirements are higher due to the sheer power of these streaks, they deserve to return.
Infinity Ward shouldn’t be afraid to take killstreaks out of the Obligations games he hasn’t made himself, though. For example, the Swarm of call of duty: black ops 2 looks like one of the best streaks of all time, and features drones flying through the sky and crashing into players as they appear. If the enemy team cannot enter a building, they are guaranteed to die with each Swarm. providing around 20 kills if the opposing team doesn’t leave the match.
While drones have become increasingly common in modern armies, Infinity Ward may want something a little more grounded with modern warfare 2The lineup of the streak. As such, it might be worth including Treyarch’s deadly Attack Dog kill streak. Call of Duty: Vanguard it recently had an Attack Dog streak despite not being a Treyarch title, and the Guard Dog kill streak saw Infinity Ward experiment with the concept in the divisive Call of Duty: Ghosts. Watching angry dogs run through a multiplayer map can be awful, so this would be another nice addition to the lineup.
Obviously, there are other streaks that would be nice to see, like the Juggernaut suit and the advanced UAV. Considering that both appeared in call of duty: modern warfare, however, it seems very likely that they will return. Classic streaks pulled straight from older games would be more surprising, but many are worth returning to. The original modern warfare 2 had a good balance between AI and player-controlled streaks, so the new MW2 it should strive to do the same by taking some of the best options from older games.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 launches October 28 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
