Data mining attempts on Call of Duty Warzone Mobile game files have led to multiple leaks of upcoming Call of Duty games.
Alpha testing of Call of Duty Warzone for mobile is ongoing and several attempts have been made to uncover internal data from the game files. This mining expedition has led to leaks of multiple in-game items from the upcoming Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.
Dataminers have also been able to obtain concept art, purportedly from 2024’s Call of Duty Black Ops 5.
Modern Warfare 2 is scheduled to release on October 28, 2022, and any leaks are a topic of great interest to the Call of Duty community.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer maps leaked on Twitter
Despite the risk of being on the business end of copyright law, Call of Duty fans will go to great lengths to access new leaks of their favorite upcoming games.
The images were first uploaded to Twitter by the user @RealiityUK, but the account was very quickly suspended. The maps in this particular leak are named Grand Prix, Oilfield, Museum, and SOBA.
The Grand Prix map, as the name suggests, appears to be a Formula 1 race track with spectators standing in the background. Looking at the image, we can predict that this is a close mid-range combat map with open terrain on the track to complex close quarters on the spectator stand.
The second map is called Oilfield, and from the looks of the leaked image, this could be an excellent sniping map. The wide open areas between the oil tanks will provide excellent line of sight for long-range sniper gameplay, where players will also need to keep an eye out for flanking attacks from their enemies.
The third leaked map, supposedly called the Museum, is a modern-looking building of impressive size. Looking at the image, we can speculate that this map has fast and melee indoor combat.
The fourth map is called SOBA and it resembles the architecture of the Middle East. Looking at the leaked image, we can imagine this map as a central courtyard where players can take shots from the buildings around them.
Infinity Ward has already released more information about the game on its official channels. The new game will follow the chronicles of the notorious Task Force 141 as they go on challenging yet vital covert missions across the globe.
Official channels have also revealed the addition of new movement mechanics to the game. Players can now hang from ledges and ladders and peek with a secondary weapon such as a pistol. Players can also pull themselves up to a higher elevation while hanging from ledges.
Diving is another movement mechanic that has been added to the game. Players will now be able to drop to the ground or take cover when shot. Swimming has also been added to the game, and players will now be able to swim through the body of water, both on the surface and underwater.
Players will also be able to shoot underwater with their secondary weapons, but the ballistics of the bullets will be different as the bullets will travel more slowly and deal less damage.
The upcoming game has high expectations as the player base looks for a new Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 experience.
