Fortnite: Chapter 3 – Season 2 Story Summary

When the center of all existence harbors infinite power, conflict over its control is inevitable. Fortnitemain antagonist of , the imagined order (IO), has fired all cylinders of offense for Chapter 3 – Season 2: Resistance.

The IO continues to draw people from all realities into its loop of madness, where they are forced to fight over analysis and cataloging in the name of knowledge. The seven they are against it in every moral sense, and the island’s spin during season 1 is part of a careful plan to rid all of existence of this threat.

After Season 1 introduced lush scenery and the illustrious scientist as the man in the players’ chair for missions, this season had even more to offer in terms of traditional narrative content to follow as the war unfolded. Here’s a rundown of everything that happened leading up to the Collider’s activation and hopefully saving reality.

Week 1

As Gunnar leads the IO enforcers in simulacra and tanks, and Doctor Slone disables Building, the new members of the Seven, and an old ally, call for help.

the imagined cuts the tension with his blade and his clever jokes. She calls for the destruction of the Building Jammers that the IO have spread across the island.

The originStoicism comes from leading the doomsday faction that is the Ultimate Reality, something he wishes to atone for. It requires a sweep of the battlefield to make sure everything goes smoothly.

John “Jonesy” Jones, a former IO agent, reveals that the sky-blocking Blimps have been in the works for a while under the Department of Airships: Armageddon and Alliteration. He requests the deployment of cameras and data trackers to monitor movement.

week 2

Construction is back, with more missions underway. The IO believes that the Seven are developing their own tanks for battle. Actually, armored battle buses and cowcatchers (recycled metal to cover and clear roads with vehicles) are their real plan.

The scientist requests a full tank sample to reverse engineer, hoping that finding the vehicles weakness might be useful for a potential addition to the Loopers’ arsenal.

Doctor Slone monitors from afar, guarding the Fortress simulacrum right in the center of the map. She greatly disapproves of the Seven’s success.

Command Cavern, the IO’s base of operations and entry point to the island, is guarded by Huntmaster Saber atop his airship. Gunnar dwells within the cavern itself, using his gauntlet to quickly deter any intruder.

As battle lines are drawn and R&D begins on both sides of the fight, the first official battle begins on the daily bugle.

The IO and Seven forces immediately split up and fight, and players can support Seven’s side by defeating the IO troops in waves. Some legendary loot can be earned if the fight comes to an end.

With the Seven as the victors, besting the POI in the process, these battles define the crucial territorial lines that will cement the end of this war.

War never changes, it always stretches beyond what either side can sustain. The now-funded Cow Catchers and Armored Battle Buses are used as the Seven Clear Paths to battles at other POI bottlenecks.

Condo Canyon, Coney Crossroads, Rocky Reels, and Tilted Towers were all IO efforts led by Huntmaster Saber, a feline-themed enforcer so nimble few notice his presence. Even every battle was won by the Seven.

Every blimp observing these places was shot down, and the Imagined wanted to extract information from their servers about her past, something she completely forgot about.

Since the bars were used to finance the development of old and new weaponry, the long collaborative effort based on Looper proved to be the best strategy. The turrets were financed to be both on the ground and on top of other financed equipment – the drivable battle buses.

Chaos ensued.

In the first weeks, the scientist realized that current technology would not be enough. The Imagined programmed a communications relay with the paradigm – a currently shunned member of the Seven for past betrayals – and she shares plans for an old trusty in the Seven’s arsenal: The Anvil Rocket Launcher.

This is one of many steps towards salvation, as Paradigm is one of the most pivotal characters in all of history, and the Seven now begin to realize his capabilities once again.

As a last-ditch attempt to rally hope within their ranks, Imagined delivers a heartfelt message that shows clear approval of Paradigm’s plans. Jonesy uses the same speaker systems to lower the IO’s morale, but also to send an equally heartfelt note to Doctor Slone, his former boss, that he can still redeem himself.

The Origin, creator of most Paradigm-related doubts within the Seven, recruits the Looper into the most elite squad of the group: covert operations. The Looper’s abilities are described as impressive, even being used as an example for other soldiers in training.

week 10

Tilted Towers was spared, not without immense wreckage, but neighboring Loot Lake was not so lucky. With Jonesy using the knowledge gained from monitoring the location, he compares the technology seen to what he once witnessed inside the IOs. Doomsday Division.

The Collider is built. The Seven task the Looper with gathering the two keys needed for their activation, and along the way, their real purpose lies in simulations. Total destruction of everything within the Loop – a new beginning for IO megalomaniacs.

Now, with the Collision live event confirmed for June 4, it’s only a matter of time until the machine is either destroyed or makes it to the show.

At least within this madness, one of the priorities of the Seven was to teach bare how to drive Sure, the IO’s records show he owes thousands of bars for his myriad traffic violations, but did the best he could.

Fortnite is free to play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Android.
