Vanguard Update 1.19 Patch Notes for Season 4 Today (June 21)

Sledgehammer Games has begun preparations for the release of Season 4 with a new update for Call of Duty: Vanguardbringing the title to version 1.19 on June 21.

Although the last Call of Duty: Vanguard The update is now live on all supported platforms, players won’t notice any changes until Season 4: Mercenaries of Fortune begins on June 22. But, with less than 24 hours to go until launch, there’s plenty of new content to look forward to.

Here’s everything you need to know about the latest Call of Duty: Vanguard update on June 21st, which includes all the new content and changes coming with the release of Season 4 tomorrow.

Below you will find the official patch notes for June 21. Call of Duty: Vanguard update, which will be installable when Season 4 launches on June 22.


  • NEW: USS Texas 1945
    • The USS Texas returns from Call of Duty: World War II (2017) for one last trip. Browse your featured playlist 24/7 in the Season 4 launch.
  • Castle
    • Bullets will no longer penetrate the wall near High Ground to prevent unwanted spawn conditions.
  • Sphere
    • Fixed an issue that prevented players inside labs from hearing the Glide Bomb Killstreak audio.


  • NEW: Blueprint Gun Game
    • An all-time classic game mode makes its debut in Vanguard. Be the first player to get a kill with each of the weapons provided.

  • Season 4 Skill Rating Reset
    • Player skill ratings have been reset at the start of Season 4.
    • Play 5 skill evaluation matches to earn a Season 4 skill rating and place in a division and skill level.
    • Win matches after your starting placement to earn SR and advance your division and skill level for the rest of the season.
  • Season 4 Top 250 Skill Split & Leaderboard
    • The Season Four Top 250 Ladder and Skills Division will launch on June 29, a full week after Season Four begins. This release time will give players time to earn a Season 4 skill rating and progress through the divisions.
  • Season 4 Ranked Play Rewards
    • Players can earn the following rewards in Ranked Play during Season 4:

        • SMG Charlie Pro Reissue: Finish in the top 5 in a ladder event
        • KAR98k Professional Edition: Win 50 Ranked Play matches

        • Season 4 Ladder Champion: Finish first in a ladder event
        • Season 4 Ranked Veteran: Win 100 Ranked Play matches
      • charms
        • Accomplished: Finish in the top 10 in a ladder event
        • Iced – Win 25 Ranked Play matches

        • Clean Sweep: Win 5 Ranked Play matches
      • Sticker
        • Season 4 Ranked Competitor: Complete 5 Skill Appraisal matches
      • emblems
        • Earn an animated Skill Split Emblem at the end of Season 4 to reflect your highest Season 4 Skill Split.


  • NEW: Carver Butcher (Immortal)
    • Butcher served in the British Army during Operation Devon, fighting the 16th Panzer Division. He was discharged after sustaining injuries to the face from the shrapnel explosion, but returned to the front lines soon after as duty required. There he witnessed resistance fighters in action. Inspired, he became the founder and recruiter of the Special Operations Task Force. The rest, as they say, is history.
  • NEW: Callum Hendry (Immortal)
    • All his life, Callum was a braggart, constantly adventuring and getting into trouble with neighbors, woodland creatures, the law, everyone. His unwavering spirit helped him rise quickly through the ranks of the British Army to eventually become a recruit trainer. In World War II, Callum, harboring a deep hatred for the Nazis and their ideals, fought hard for a future without them. He is currently the trainer for all SOTF agents.

    • Added the ability to inspect equipped weapons.
    • Refined pros and cons in the gunsmith for all mag attachments that modify the aim down sight time and reload speed to accurately reflect the effects of the attachment.
    • Increased melee weapon damage in the overclocked playlist to maintain a one-hit kill.
    • Fixed an issue that prevented Diamond Camo for Melee Weapons from unlocking once the requirements were met.
    • Fixed magazine attachment requirements for various camouflage challenges.
  • NEW: Frame 5 (SMG)
    • A highly mobile, hip-accurate machine gun with excellent stopping power at close range.
    • Unlocked at Tier 15 in the Season 4 Battle Pass
  • NEW: UGM-8 (Light Machine Gun)
    • High rate of fire, mobile LMG that excels at creating suppressive fire and pushing enemy positions.
    • Unlocked at level 31 in the Season 4 Battle Pass.
  • Nikita AVT (Assault Rifle)
    • Weapon unlock challenge added.
      • Get 10 kills while moving in a single match 15 times.
  • Armaguerra 43 (Submachine Gun)
    • Fixed the challenge requirements for the Death Artist Camo category.
  • H4 Blixen (Submachine Gun)
    • Fixed the alignment of the Magnus Tac iron sights.
  • M1916 (marksman rifle)
    • Weapon unlock challenge added.
      • Get 10 One Shot One Kills in a single match 15 times.


  • New challenges and seasonal rewards have been added.
  • Added a new Clan Challenge (expires in a week).

User interface and experience

  • Fixed an issue that caused PC key bindings to reset to default when switching between Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies modes.
  • Gilding a player’s clans will now display the correct level for each individual clan.
  • Fixed an issue where Loadouts would persist with outdated weapon selections.

Packages and Cosmetics

  • Quick Gear can no longer be used to equip unsupported reticles on optics.



  • “Shi No Numa”
    • Round-Based Zombies returns with Shi No Numa on June 22.
    • Classic map elements return, such as Door Buys, Flogger trap, and Electro-Shock.
    • Classic Wall Buys return with round based Zombies.
      • Players can now purchase select weapons at designated Wall Buy locations.
      • Starting in round six, Wall Buys will have a chance to increase the level of Pack-A-Punch in each round and up to level 3 in higher rounds.
        • The chances of increasing the level of Pack-A-Punch improve every five rounds until all available Wall Buys reach level three.
    • A new area to explore… discover its secrets.

  • New Story Quest is available in “Shi No Numa” on June 22.

  • New narrative information is available in “Shi No Numa” to advance the Dark Aether story.

    • New Season Challenges available at the start of Season Four.

  • Gremlin ammunition
    • Now reloads ammo at a rate based on the size of the weapon clip.
