Reasons to return to Battle Royale

Reasons to return to Battle Royale

If you’ve been out of Fortnite for a while, a lot has changed. Not only do superheroes, aliens, and Robocop come and go, but the characters have a war (or two?) between the island and reality. So maybe “a lot has changed” is an understatement, but regardless, Chapter 3 Season 3 is a good time to jump back in.

This season, the theme is vibrating. After the doom and gloom of the last few seasons, Epic wants a change of pace, so this season is going to be one hell of a party! To lighten the mood, they’ve added lots of fun new features and brought back some old favorites. The Battle Pass has the exciting additions of Indiana Jones and Darth Vader, and for new and returning players, we’ve ranked the best new features and a couple of great ones you may have missed.

THE GAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY

9 The new and returning weapons

Now you have the chance to burn down enemy watchtowers with firefly jars or catch a loot shark with a harpoon. The weapons change every season, but this time there are more than ever with over twenty new and old weapons.

The three new weapons are a heavy-blowback, rapid-fire rifle, a rapid-fire sniper, and a community favorite, the two-shot shotgun that blasts bad guys. real nice. Even better are the returning weapons, revolvers, SMGs, and the cowcatcher. They’ve added nearly two of each weapon type, plus three grenades and four exotics.

8 The many new challenges and missions

Break, burn or smash buildings with a truck, drink potions, chew carrots or just thank the bus driver. There are sure to be plenty of challenges to complete and more to come!

It’s easier than ever to earn XP, rank up, and earn Battle Stars. You can earn XP in the different game modes and even in Save The World. If you think your solo fisherman style of play isn’t going to catch you like Darth Vader and Indiana Jones, think again!

7 The new tricks and traps on the map

Scattered around the map are giant Indiana Jones-esque boulders that you roll with a swipe of your pickaxe and bouncing blue mushrooms that build your shield. Bounce around, drop some rocks and watch the chaos unfold.

These are some of the small but fun additions they have added to the map. It can be a bit tricky to smash someone with the huge marbles, but what a surprise it will be when you do.

6 The Tree of Huge Reality

This new location is impressive; a fantastic giant tree in light pink and blue surrounded by giant mushrooms and geysers. There is plenty of loot and at the top of the tree there are four chests ready to be picked up.

The most interesting addition is the new “reality sapling” trees that you can plant and grow in multiple games; that give increasingly rare loot the more you tend to them. If you’re looking to get your hands on a mythic weapon at the start of a match, this is the way to do it.

5 The cow hunter who breaks buildings

Place one of these in a sports car and destroy entire cities. Another old favorite making a comeback, the Cowhunter is a car mod that turns (almost) any vehicle into a building-busting behemoth.

There is no better feeling than laying waste to the final storm circle and making everyone else run for their lives. It’s surprisingly deadly, and it’s just too much fun when you knock an unsuspecting squadmate out of the sky.

4 Bouncing Ball Players

Half hamster ball and half Spider-Man, it’s the most maneuverable vehicle in the game. The baller was last seen almost three years ago and with two hundred hit points, you can enjoy the crazy machine in relative safety.

Roll on water, swing from building to building, and even grab onto another vehicle to take a ride. Just don’t try to ram someone with one, or you might meet a rocky end. To add to the fun, this season they added rails and a roller coaster to ride with your baller in the new Rave Cave.

3 the fighting glove

Swing and sling with the grip gloves; Spider-Man’s web shooters are back. A modified version of the web-slingers added with Spider-Man’s original mask, these gloves can be found in the ten purple-painted toolsheds scattered around the map.

Open one of these glove boxes and enjoy life above the crowd, but be careful, they only have ten uses for game balance reasons.

two The new and improved movement

If you got tired of walking slowly towards the circle of storms, that’s a thing of the past. Last season they added cladding, the ability to climb nearby ledges. So now, even without a vehicle, you can run, slide and climb; bringing new life to those slow moments between firefights.

Your character runs in an arm waving run that is endlessly entertaining and once you’ve tried the new parkour options you’ll wonder why they didn’t add this sooner.

1 mountable wildlife

If you’ve been waiting to charge into battle on top of a pig or a wolf, now you can! Simply jump on top of one of the roaming beasts and run wild. They can run for miles, and unlike most vehicles, you can shoot while driving.

Perfect for solos and squads, they can be found all over the map. And don’t worry about your pig or dog being stolen, the little critter will be your companion for the rest of the match, and you can feed them meat or fresh produce to keep them happy and healthy.
