The last set of Fortnite Quests are available, this time for Chapter 3 Season 3 Week 2. You’ll find this new batch of objectives to be a bit trickier than before, but thankfully, none of them are too difficult. You’ll need to visit specific locations on the map, use new mechanics introduced alongside Season 3, and get eliminations with specific weapon types.
Here we will go over all the new missions, with guides to complete them in Fortnite.
- Launch yourself onto a runaway rock and blast it with a baller (1)
- Eliminate enemy players with ranged weapons of epic rarity or higher (2)
- Enter the Wind Tunnel in a Baller in The Screwballer (1)
- Headshot opponents with the 2-shot shotgun (5)
- Launch yourself into the air using geysers (3)
- Pick weeds around the saplings in reality (5)
- Turn 50 meters or more with the grappling glove without touching the ground (10)
Launch yourself onto a runaway rock and blast it with a baller (1)
Getting started is tricky, but we have an easy method to complete it. First, head to the Rave Cave and grab a Baller from inside the bear’s head. You’ll then want to roll to the closest Runaway Boulder indicated by the red circle on the map above. It is a huge rock sitting on top of a hill. Once you get there, grab it with the grappling hook and then use your momentum to ram it. Then the rock will drop and you will get credit for completing the quest.
Eliminate enemy players with ranged weapons of epic rarity or higher (2)
This is one that might take a bit of luck to complete as it depends on the rarity of the weapon you come across. If you use Reality Sapling to grow your own items, you are sure to come across a weapon of epic rarity or higher. Otherwise, you’ll want to loot as much as possible to find a ranged weapon. These are weapons like snipers, assault rifles, and the new DMR. After you get your hands on one, you need to take out two players with it, which shouldn’t be too difficult, especially if you’re coordinating with a team.
Enter the Wind Tunnel in a Baller in The Screwballer (1)
For this challenge, you’ll need to land in Rave Cave, specifically, aiming for the inside of the bear’s head, where you’ll find a Baller. These are spherical vehicles that can be used to slide around and ride the Screwballer roller coaster. Once you’ve found one, drop down the west side and you’ll see a yellow wind tunnel that you can climb into while inside the Baller.
Headshot opponents with the 2-shot shotgun (5)
For this one, you’ll want to land in a location with a lot of loot, like Tilted Towers or The Daily Bugle, to find the two-shot shotgun. Now, you can certainly earn credit for this by dealing damage to real players, but some users have reported a bug with this particular quest that it can’t track progress, even if you take point-blank headshots. This will likely fix it, but if you’re having trouble hitting your shots on real players or if you’re not getting credit, we recommend trying another method. In fact, you can progress by taking headshots from the wolves, which makes it much easier. You can find wolves around The Daily Bugle, as shown on the map above. This one is also cumulative, meaning you don’t have to win all five shots in a match.
Launch yourself into the air using geysers (3)
Geysers are new this season, and unsurprisingly, they can be used to launch yourself into the air. You’ll find plenty of them along the western side of the map, so land there and use three geysers to complete this challenge. Simply walk on them while they are erupting to launch yourself into the air.
Pick weeds around the saplings in reality (5)
This one will come naturally if you’ve been using the Reality Sapling feature, which was added alongside Season 3. To catch up, you need to collect Reality Seeds from Reality Falls and then plant the Seed for a tree to sprout. This will turn into a reality tree containing various items, but you need to wait until a few matches have passed to collect the loot. As the tree grows, you will have to remove the weeds that surround it and maintain the tree in several games. Choose five weeds and you will complete this challenge. It’s best to plant Reality Sapling in a distant area so you’re less likely to run into enemy players.
Turn 50 meters or more with the grappling glove without touching the ground (10)
Added grappling gloves to Fortnite, and they work almost exactly like the Spider-Man Web-Shooters from earlier in Chapter 3. You can find Grapple Gloves at the locations marked on the map above (thanks Fortnite.gg). Each dot on the map above indicates a grappling station, which contains toolboxes with grappling gloves in them. You can only have one set of grappling gloves at any given time, but once you acquire them, you’ll be able to swing. For this one, we recommend heading to an area with lots of trees or buildings before you start swinging. As long as you travel 50 meters without touching the ground, you will get credit for this quest.
