Limited time modes have been a part of Fortnite for several years. The ‘first’ LTM, as they are known, was the 50v50 mode back in 2019 and since then both players and Epic Games have created many amazing game modes. There are even players who prefer playing the limited time modes to the main playlists.
However, they are called limited for a reason. These modes are often on rotation and when active, they only have a short time before they wear off. It’s a great strategy to have players interact with them while they’re active, but it can be frustrating when they’re not.
So far, Chapter 3 Season 3 has been without LTMs. They will probably return eventually, but they should return sooner rather than later. This is why.
The Fortnite LTM offers players a refreshing take on the game and should be appearing more often.
The main reason LTMs need to return is because players love them. There are good and bad, as Epic Games is not infallible and does not always create perfect game modes.
Still, most of them are very popular and loved by much of the fan base (such as Solid Gold or Unvaulted). His absence so far is curious, to say the least.
That’s also why it’s a surprise that they’re not in the game. Epic Games don’t always make decisions that the Fortnite community agrees with, but they generally listen to them more than most developers.
It will most likely only be a matter of time before LTMs return, but they need to be added back as soon as possible. They are a great addition to the game and provide a nice alternative to the standard Battle Royale modes.
Even with the introduction of Zero Build, the two main games can get a bit stale. They are repetitive as players go into a match and try to fight and win. Doing it over and over again can be tedious.
Entering a world with a new loot pool or new game rules can be a great way to liven it up a bit before returning to the original mode.
Fortnite players loved most of the LTMs that have come out, and here are some of the most popular ones that should make a comeback.
Avengers Endgame LTM
The Avengers LTM is one of the first and it was also the beginning of all the collaborations players see today. It was also an amazing game mode with amazing gameplay.
Playing Avengers Mythics was amazing and hasn’t been possible since, so I should go back. At a minimum, the elements must be in Creative.
Who doesn’t love legendary weapons? Sure, they’re all anyone has, but playing a game mode that gives one an all-gold weapon loadout is plenty of fun. It also often features some vaulted weapons, so players generally like to play it.
When a good weapon is skipped, Fortnite players miss it. The Fortnite Unvaulted LTM is a perfect opportunity to use these weapons again. The loot pool is usually very different from the main modes and feels like a completely different game.
