Call of Duty DFS Lineup Picks (5/29/22) – DraftKings Daily Fantasy COD Advice

Hello DFS eSports enthusiasts and welcome back to RotoBaller’s coverage of the Call of Duty DFS Contests for DraftKings! Last weekend was crazy and this week I also have very good feelings. We’re getting to the final games of the Major 3 Qualifiers and for some of these teams, it could mean the difference between the winning and losing brackets to start Major 3! The big team to watch out for is the LA Thieves as they look to take down a tough Optic Texas team that has been sailing to victory of late.

This is easily one of my favorite sports to cover here at Rotoballer because I play a lot of COD myself and like to think I’m pretty good at it too. I’ve been following the COD League for about five years and I can finally put all this knowledge to the test! First things first, we have a Seattle Surge team taking on the London Royal Ravens, a mid-tier matchup between the Florida Mutineers and Boston Breach, and lastly, we have the main matchup of the day with Optic Texas taking place! take on the LA Thieves!

Today I will bring you my COD DFS tips, analysis and lineup picks for DFS eSports contests on DraftKings at SundayMay 29, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. EST. Feel free to follow me on Twitter @DFSKoby Or find me in the slack as I’m happy to interact with readers and try to answer your questions!

  • Optic Texas (-350) vs. LA Thieves (+255)

Whiteboard Overview

In fact, I was quite surprised when I saw the odds on this game. Seattle has been on fire lately and to get to -155 against London, who have struggled throughout the top 3 qualifiers since losing to Gismo. Seattle, on the other hand, beat Paris, swept LAT and beat Florida. They barely lost to a good Toronto team and I think London falls short of some of those teams in terms of recent play. Sib and Pred have been on one lately and Accuracy and Mack have also stepped up to get this team back to how it started the season this year. Seattle’s comeback has been elite and that’s where London has had the most trouble. SnD is the only game mode I see London win in and it’s rare. So it’s Seattle by sweep or 3-1 win.

This game was a bit difficult to dissect. Boston Breach hasn’t been a team that I feel like I’ve seen enough of. They’ve had a bit of a tough schedule with losses to Atlanta and the NYSL. They beat London and this article was also written before they played LAT today. Maybe if they have a dominant run over LAT today, it might be a little different how I feel, but Boston has struggled in the comeback department at 1-4 HP and 1-2 Control. It’s been much better for Florida, where I think they manage to win both Hardpoints. Boston has been the best team in SnD so I give them the edge there. Florida has shown that they are a little better at Control, so I give them a slight edge. It could go either way though, so I’ll say Florida 3-1, however I wouldn’t be surprised by a 3-2 Boston either.

Twice in a row, DK has disrespected Scump. He has been too cheap for the way one of the best COD players has been playing recently! 7400 is too cheap for someone who has lost over 100 DKP in 12 of his last 13 scored by DK. It is by far one of the best plays on the board and personally he is a lock on all lineups. LAT has struggled recently and if they get a win over Boston today they need a win here over Optic. It should be a fun, tight series, but Optic has just been on another level and as long as Prolute continues to dominate instead of Illey, it will be hard to see anyone bothering them.

COD DFS Basics

  1. Just like in CSGO, players receive two points for kills and are penalized -1 for dying. Therefore, the simplest stat to look at here is the K/D ratio.
  2. You need to include a team post on both sites. Teams accumulate fantasy points for games won (+4), matches won (+10), and search and destroy/control rounds won (+.5).
  3. Teams will play best-of-five matches in a rotation of various game modes. Those modes and the order in which they are played are as follows: Hardpoint, Search & Destroy, Control, Hardpoint, Search & Destroy.
  4. In hardpoint rounds, players with positive K/D ratios are usually the ones with the highest score and these rounds are usually the bloodiest.
  5. They have also changed a game mode from Domination to Control for League play. This is going to be very different in the game as it is based on rounds and not first to 200. They play first to win 3 rounds. You win by capturing both points or by killing the enemy team until they run out of life. One team defends and the other attacks.
  6. There is a sweep bonus this year as both teams and players can get a 20 point player sweep and a 5 point team sweep. In the event that they sweep, they are also awarded a 20 point bonus for not playing the hard spot and a 5 point bonus for not playing the final Search and Destroy map. That adds up to a sweep of 45 extra points that are going to be very crucial this year.

Captain COD DFS Considerations

Held down: You can go Bb or Pred. I only chose Pred for the price. Both guys are elite and playing at the craziest level of COD right now. Pred has struggled in SnD but he makes up for it with almost 1.50 K/D in Control from him. He also has a K/D of 1.13 in HP and .67 K/D in SnD. Pred’s ceiling is very high and that’s something I really like about him. Usually it’s him or Sib who breaks the board, so you can’t go wrong with either one. Going Pred gives him a price break of about 1k which he can use elsewhere to move up.

Shooting: There are no words to explain how elite this man is. He has scored 116, 128 and 123 in his 3 games so far during the Major 3 qualifiers. Optic has been playing at such a high level that it’s hard to see anyone stopping them right now. They also beat FaZe of all teams. LAT managed to beat them during the Pro-am, but that was with General on the team instead of Prolute, who took this team to another level. Optic should win this one pretty easily and I see Shotzzy as one of the best. He has averaged 1.28 K/D HP, .95 SnD and 1.23 Control during Qualifiers. We’re getting a big play cheaper than Prolute at just $9400. Grab it while it’s this cheap because it won’t last long.

Other Captain Plays: Dashy, Sib, Envoy, Capsidal, Owakening

COD DFS Value Plays

trash: I just don’t get the price here, Scump has averaged 112.1 DKP per game this season which is crazy that he’s still playing at this level but he’s so cheap at $7400. I even have him captain some lineups just to make my lineup heavier. He’s a solid pairing with any of the other three players, but I prefer him with Shotzzy, who also just broke the league. During the Major 3 Qualifiers, he averaged 1.12 in Hardpoint, .81 in SnD and 1.19 in Control. Scump is as close to a lockdown as he can get in the COD world right now.

Precision: I love the value we get at Accuracy. The Iceman has finally been playing very well during the Major 3 qualifiers, averaging a K/D of 1.01 HP, 1.03 SnD, and 1.11 Control. At $6,800, he makes a great pairing with one of the best Sib or Pred players to have been to another level. Having such a low value makes building lineups much easier, as well as creating a greater variety of lineups. Having Accuracy as well as Scump for value basically allows you to make any lineup you want!

Other value plays: Davpadie, TJHaly, Drazah (Punt)

Batteries COD DFS

Seattle Surge: I’d go for Optic here, but at this point, they’re obviously one of the best stacks on the board, so let me give you my other favorite. Seattle Surge has been on fire lately. They have faced three successive opponents and are looking to make it four here against a struggling London side. Seattle is by far the best comeback team and I think we’re getting them for a good price as well. Sib and Pred are obviously Seattle’s best players, but I think Accuracy has also been a bit underrated. He is of great value because of how he has played. Mack is the only one I’m not sure about right now. He has his moments but they haven’t been consistent enough to consider him in my lineups at his price when I can get Accuracy for $1400 cheaper.

Other team plays: Optic Texas, Florida Mutineers, Boston Breach

  1. TLDR: Seattle 3-0/1, Florida 3-1, Optica 3-0/1
  2. London: Afro
  3. Seattle: Bb, Pred, Accuracy
  4. Florida: Awakening, Skyz
  5. Boston: Capsidal, TJ Haly
  6. LAT: Octane, Drazah
  7. Optics: Scum, Shotzzy, Dashy
