Call of Duty: Warzone players will face not one but two Titan-sized obstacles during the limited-time Operation Monarch event. Operators (Warzone’s term for gamers) will have to defend their positions against Godzilla and Kong, the two gigantic monsters made famous by Legendary Entertainment and Warner Bros. Pictures’ Monsterverse movies like ‘Godzilla vs. Kong’, ‘Kong: Skull Island’ and ‘Godzilla: King of the Monsters’. Operators must survive against Godzilla’s devastating Heat Ray Breath attack and Kong’s brutal Quake Slam to be the last team standing.
As detailed by Activision writer Daniel Noel in a blog postOperation Monarch, Warzone’s new mode and event, will be available starting today, May 11, and will last until May 25. them to deal damage to enemies.
Both Godzilla and Kong will move around the map and dish out “unprecedented rage” when provoked. This includes basic moves like Tail Swiper and Dorsal Slice for Godzilla, along with Fin Breaker and Aerial Ax Slash for Kong. Both monsters also have a power move in their arsenal: Heat Ray Breath for Godzilla and Quake Slam for Kong.
Noel said that at the start of an Operation Monarch match, and at another random point, both monsters “may” become enraged and attack. This attack is called Titan Frenzy. Noel warns, “After receiving an alert from Titan Frenzy, an operator has two options: tactically withdraw or attempt to suppress them by dealing direct damage.”

As mentioned, Godzilla’s known attacks include Heat Ray Breath, Tail Swipe, and Dorsal Slice. Operators will have a few seconds to get out of the way, as when Godzilla will unleash his Heat Ray Breath, his scales will light up with an “icy blue glow”. The minimap will also light up with several red circles just before the attack. “It’s best to avoid his line of fire; those who end up in its destructive path have mere seconds to evade the attack,” said Noel.

While Godzilla’s movement can be cumbersome, Kong is extremely agile. He can confuse opponents by launching himself across the map in giant leaps. Noel said: “Finding out where it will land next requires more on-the-ground investigation by operators. Keep your distance.”
Call of Duty: Warzone tips — How to control Godzilla and Kong
During a match, operators will encounter Monarch Intel through supply crates, special drops, and fallen enemies. This can be used to power up a special meter that can unlock useful items like Loadout Drops and Killstreaks. When the meter is completely full, operators can unlock a powerful Titan Killstreak reward. Operators can also deal damage to Godzilla and Kong to gather additional Monarch Intel.
Upon unlocking a Titan Killstreak, operators can use a Titan SCREAM device to control monsters and take out enemies with Godzilla’s Heat Ray Breath or Kong’s ground slam and stone throw. It should be noted that multiple SCREAM devices cannot be used one after the other, so timing and positioning are of paramount importance.
Operation Monarch can support 60 players and the last team standing will win a match. Players can also gain access to three Monsterverse Bundles inspired by ‘Godzilla vs. Kong’. These include the Godzilla Reactive Mastercraft Limited Time Bundle, the Kong Limited Time Bundle, and the Mechagodzilla Limited Time Bundle.
