When does Warzone Pacific Season 3 reload? New SMG, Serpentine Perk, quality of life upgrades, more

Warzone’s May 4 update has nerfed the Armored Truck vehicle, as well as fixed broken weapon XP and Buy Station bugs. More importantly, it also issued buffs and nerfs to several popular weapons. Here are the full Warzone May 4 update patch notes.

Following the major Warzone Season 3 update, the developers issued another update on May 4 that fixed several ongoing issues, including bugs and glitches in the game. Additionally, several popular Warzone weapons are receiving buffs and nerfs.

The main weapon balance changes to watch out for are the nerfs on certain Cold War ARs, as well as buffs to various Vanguard weapons in an attempt to make them more competitive during Warzone Season 3.

Nerfed Warzone Armored Trucks

After the update, Warzone players stated that the armored trucks were screwing up Solos. As a result of the new sabotage contract, armored trucks were rampant in Warzone.

These massive vehicles were considered overpowered thanks to the turret and impossible to destroy due to their bulk. This update has not only weakened the vehicle’s health, but also reduced the damage dealt by the turret.

Cold War AR Impoverishments and Vanguard Weapon Upgrades in Warzone

The Vanguard developers explained their reasoning behind the decision to buff Vanguard weapons and nerf certain Cold War weapons: “Vanguard weapons have been struggling to perform on par with their peers ever since they arrived in Warzone.”

They explain that due to frequent long-range engagements on Caldera, weapons with a low maximum damage range became ineffective, “Unfortunately for Vanguard Weapons, this was often the case.”

The Cold War AK-47, believed by many to be one of the best weapons in the game, received a nerf to damage range. Along with the AK-47, the EM2 and XM4 were also nerfed, which could have implications for the Assault Rifle meta.

Vanguard weapons were the big winners in this weapon balance update. Various assault rifles and submachine guns like the Automaton, MP40, and Cooper Carbine have had their damage range increased, which is sure to make them more powerful weapons.

WEAPONS

Weapon Settings

Vanguard Weapons has struggled to perform on par with its peers since coming to Warzone. This update is laying the foundation to solve that. Engagement distances have only increased since the transition to Caldera. More skirmishes are taking place within minimum damage ranges. As a result of this, weapons that have a low maximum damage range or low minimum damage have become largely unworkable. Unfortunately for Vanguard Weapons, this was often the case. Below you’ll find a host of changes intended to inject some nascent competition into the upper echelon of Warzone Weaponry.
