Fortnite Update: December 23 Update: Top Tier Styles
In Fortnite, the desire to stand out from other players is strong. That said, so is the ability to look like your favorite character. How can one strut like Spider-Man and also maintain a somewhat unique flare? Easy. super level styles.
Super Level Styles are additional Battle Pass unlocks that alter the look of specific skins from Chapter 3 Season 1. Most of them were already available to players who reached pass level 100. This update adds more, allowing anyone above level 140 to unlock rarer variations. These include Photo Negative, Scarlet Blackout, and Gilded Reality versions of characters such as Shanta and Lt. John Llama. Even Spider-Man has some new threads
Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1 Balance Changes
Several weapons have been modified since this season began. A hotfix came out last week to fix certain issues. This update offers finer tuning. The Ranger Assault Rifle sports increased accuracy and damage. The stinger submachine gun Y Hunter Bolt Action Sniper both got animation tweaks to better show how much ammo they have when you’re reloading. The Striker pump shotgun, on the other hand, had its accuracy and rate of fire improved. The automatic shotgun I also made a small profit. Now you will be able to draw the weapon faster than before.
Not all Fortnite Season 3 weapons were upgraded. It wasn’t just him MK-Seven Assault Rifle environmental damage decreased, will be less accurate when fired from the hip. This shouldn’t surprise most players; the MK is an incredibly powerful weapon in the right hands and that’s before you consider its accuracy when aiming down sights.
Going beyond Fortnite weapons, the Drink juice Item healing speed increased.
What is different about Fortnite Chapter 3?
Recent events in Fortnite have given way to sweeping changes to your island map. Not only can fans expect to see modified versions of familiar locations, but there will also be new locations, including Spider-Man/Peter Parker’s Daily Bugle.
Marvel’s iconic newspaper facility won’t be the only new area worth exploring, as The Sanctuary, The Seven’s secret base of operations, has also been revealed.
Beyond the new characters and map changes, Fortnite Chapter 3 adds new traversal mechanics. These include the ability to slide in hopes of evading enemy fire or the new swing mechanic that allows you to mimic Spidey’s movements.
Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1 also introduces the most revolutionary feature since Reboot Vans in Camps. These special locations will allow you and your squadmates to store items for use in later matches. Not only that, it will also allow you to heal after taking damage.
Fans can look forward to new items and weapons scattered throughout the island. If used well (and with a bit of luck), you can get several Victory Royales and potentially win the new Victory Crown. This digital accolade will certainly encourage competitive play.
Fortnite: Chapter 3, Season 1 Battle Pass
It wouldn’t be a new season of Fortnite without a brand new Battle Pass. This latest pass will offer much of the same: new skins, emotes, weapon wraps, etc. It also features the amazing Spider-Man. While those things are worth getting excited about, Epic Games allows players to continue earning Battle Pass XP outside of Battle Royale which is really interesting.
By using the Accolade device, Fortnite Creative mode players can incorporate XP gain into their created experiences. They won’t be able to set the amount, so it won’t be easy for players to get past 100 levels. Instead, they can set the weight of XP awards based on the number of Accolade devices they have and how often players award them.
Essentially, players won’t be able to manually type in how much XP they want their friends to earn. All the math is done in the background in a way that keeps things balanced; players will be able to influence things based on the complexity of their created Commendations, but will not be able to award free XP.
This update comes with the usual bug fixes. What’s exciting is that these changes weren’t just to improve Fortnite, but also to make way for this year’s Winterfest event. It is not known what day it will be released, apart from soon. However, one should expect new quests, seasonal items, and more in the coming days.
