Thousands of players are hoping to rack up Series Points and perhaps qualify directly for the Chapter 3 Season 2 Finals over the next four weeks. Today, ESTNN brings you the top teams heading into the first Qualifier, who we hope to see compete each week.
Bugha and Mero
— Bugha (@bugha) March 7, 2022
The defending FNCS champions deserve top billing hands down heading into Chapter 3 Season 2. Both players have entered their prime while owning multiple FNCS titles. Last season Mero and Bugha had the luxury of an unopposed Chonker’s Speedway in the finals. While a similar situation may not occur this season, his talent cannot be denied.
This season, the current Ax of Champions holders achieved a second and fifth place in Duos Cash Cups. Frankly, the lack of reps is not a problem for two of the best players in the world. Expect Bugha and Mero to make it to the Chapter 3 Season 2 Finals with ease as they look to win their fourth straight FNCS Championship.
focused and cold
– Focused on FaZe (@Cented7) April 20, 2022
FaZe Cented has been on the brink of its first Ax of Champions for over a year. He finished runner-up four times in the Trios format; He is recognized by many as the best in-game leader (IGL) in competitive Fortnite. Combine those stats with an ultra-talented player in Cold, and we have the makings of a sure-fire FNCS contender.
Cented and Cold both gained two prior nerfs to the Duos Cash Cups vehicle, but have dropped slightly since then. The Kings is Sleepy Sound enters FNCS Chapter 3 Season 2 with high expectations. Their fifth place finish in Chapter 3 Season 1 proves that they are capable of greatness. All Cented and Cold needs is a few lucky breaks, and the rest will fall into place.
Walnut and Okis
— nut 🇲🇽 (@nutiffyy) April 29, 2022
Underrated players Nut and Okis have suddenly emerged as contenders in recent weeks. The former took a brief hiatus from Fortnite last season, which meant he would miss out on all of the FNCS. Okis made it to the semi-finals, but ultimately fell short. These two controller players joined forces in late April and instantly hit it off.
Nut and Okis took second place in their first Duos Cash Cup. They followed that up with a ninth place finish before winning the most recent NA West Duos Cash Cup. The two have teased a split recently, but we think Nut and Okis will enter the FNCS together, looking for an appearance in the Season Finals.
Buttercup and Edgey

—Edgey (@Edgeyy) April 30, 2022
This season, a new duo, Acorn and Edgey, emerged as one of the best, regardless of region. Acorn parted ways with Khanada after finishing 6th in FNCS Chapter 3 Season 1 and was combined with Edgey. Both players have had success in previous FNCS finals, making them strong contenders for the Ax of Champions.
The results of this team in Chapter 3 Season 2 are remarkable; 12, 19, 5, 5 and 4. Acorn and Edgey have shown the consistency needed to win a Fortnite Champion Series event. They will undoubtedly have to overcome adversity as they land in the hotly contested Tilted Towers. However, there is a path to victory for this tandem.
Joji and Rocaine
— FS Joji (@jojiFN) April 30, 2022
Joji and Rocaine are two names you may not be familiar with in the competitive Fortnite scene. However, this pair has quietly taken shape at an ideal time. Their partnership remained intact following an 11th place finish in FNCS Chapter 3 Season 1. Since then, his best placements include fourth, second, first and second. While Joji and Rocaine may not be the most recognizable names, their results are impossible to ignore.
