Elden Ring modders are already adding Star Wars, One Piece, Hollow Knight and more

The Elden Ring modders are currently adding a ton of pop culture franchises to the game, including clever (and weird) mods to add elements of Star Wars, One Piece, Hollow Knight, and even Life Is Strange.

Mods range from adding simple costumes, like Zelda’s Dark Link, for example, that allow players to dress up as their favorite characters, to weapons that let you cast spells with Harry Potter’s Elder Wand.

The Nexus Mod Community has been hard at work bringing just about every franchise imaginable to Elden Ring, and since it only launched two months ago, there are bound to be many more on the way. Here are some of our favorites so far:

Star Wars Elden Ring Mods

Darth Vader arrives in the Elden Ring in this mod.

Hailing from a galaxy far, far away, this Star Wars mod adds Darth Vader to Elden Ring complete with a hovering cape and flashing lights on top of his life support unit.

No Star Wars character would be complete without a lightsaber of course and since all the rules have already been broken why not equip Vader with Darth Maul’s double-bladed lightsaberAvailable in five different colors.

One Piece Elden Ring Mods

One Piece characters, including Zoro, have been modified into the Elden Ring.

The anime world has also reached the Elden Ring through these One Piece mods. While Luffy’s extendable arms may be too much (for now), zoro right hand has made an appearance.

While the third sword in Zoro’s mouth is purely cosmetic, his other two katanas are modified versions of Uchigatana and Rivers of Blood.

Only one other One Piece character seems to have been modded into the Elden Ring so far, with another swordsman, Mihawk, is also added.

Hollow Knight Elden Ring Mods

One of the strangest but equally brilliant mods so far is the hollow knight protagonist, with The Knight going from being a 2D model to a fully formed Elden Ring character. It works surprisingly well.

The Knight retains the spooky Hollow Knight general, which actually seamlessly transfers to the often-creepy Midlands, and even comes equipped with his game nail sword.

Zelda Elden Ring Mods

The Hero of Time himself has been modified in Elden Ring.

As the impressive launch of Elden Ring has guaranteed its place in gaming history, it makes sense that other gaming royalty will arrive as well.

the legend of Zelda The link has been modified in the Elden Ring, allowing players to traverse the Midlands as the Hero of Time himself.

This particular Link is the Twilight Princess version, and players can even choose to equip the dark link skin instead of the normal version. To complete the set, the Master Sword Y hylian shield have also been modified.

Final Fantasy Elden Ring Mods

Characters from Final Fantasy VII: Remake have also been added to the Elden Ring, and the game’s party system can even be emulated through some clever manipulation of the mechanics.

Players can choose to play as a fusion sword– brandishing cloud conflictor equip some fist fighting weapons while playing as Tifa Lockhart. Regardless of which one you choose, the other character can accompany you as a spirit summon.

God of War Elden Ring Mods

Fans have already managed to create a fairly authentic Kratos using the Elden Ring’s robust character creation system, but the roleplay can be rounded out thanks to new weapon mods.

The Leviathan Ax from God of War (2018), complete with glowing runes, along with the sword of chaos and the Nemean basket of God of War III.

Resident Evil Elden Ring Mods

Ready to take on the zombie problem of Elden Ring, Resident Evil’s Claire Redfield Y jill valentine Both have been modified in the game.

To add another twist to the franchise, players can also equip Lady Dimitrescu’s knifethe Death Flower Dagger, from Resident Evil 8, which replaces the default dagger available in the Elden Ring.

Smaller mods of Life is Strange, Harry Potter and more

The protagonist of Life is Strange has been changed into the Elden Ring for some reason.

The protagonist of Life is Strange has been changed into the Elden Ring for some reason.

There are almost too many Elden Ring mods to list, but a few smaller ones still deserve recognition. A Life is Strange mod that it adds protagonist Max Caulfield is, well, weird, but respect the details, as he comes in several different outfits from the game, including a removable satchel.

A Harry Potter mod adds the Elder Wand to the Ring of Elden, and it actually functions as a wand in-game, with players able to cast spells from the modified Glintstone Staff.

Finally, some completely off the mark but impressive mods include, however, Warframe Excalibur Y Doomslayer of Doom. You can bet we’ll get a lot more additions in the coming months and years.

As this selection of mods demonstrates, Elden Ring has proven to be a cultural phenomenon where players find other completely wacky ways to interact with the game. One player made the Fisher Price toy controller work with the game, while another made a VR version of Elden Ring.

Someone has beaten a boss using the Nintendo Switch Ring Fit controller, while others completed the game without taking damage or dealing damage.

In our 10/10 review, IGN said, “Elden Ring is a massive iteration of what FromSoftware started with the Souls series, bringing its relentlessly challenging combat into an incredible open world that gives us the freedom to choose our own path.”
