LEGO Summer 2022 Sets Revealed: Minecraft, Creator, More

We’ve been detailing all of the new LEGO summer 2022 sets for the past month, and now, to kick off the week, we’re seeing almost all of the new creations from various waves revealed. Including the latest builds from Minecraft, City, Creator, Ninjago, and more, check out the 30+ upcoming kits below.

First look at over 30 new summer 2022 LEGO sets

Today we get the most comprehensive look at the new Summer 2022 LEGO lineup to date with over 30 different models. From many of the brand’s internals, most of the reveals focus primarily on the unlicensed side of the lineup.

So while we’re still waiting for new Marvel and Star Wars sets, there are quite a few new builds to check out next. Although we just got a glimpse of the next buildable Baby Groot.

Minecraft tops upcoming LEGO sets

Leading the way for the new summer 2022 LEGO sets revealed today, the next wave of Minecraft creations has arrived. In total, there are five upcoming kits that we know of so far and they further expand the wide variety of in-game locations incorporated in the form of brick building. Each model looks interesting in its own right, but the Red Barn set in particular seems to be the most exciting in my book. Although Llama Village is sure to get some love too once all the kits are released later this year.

Here are all the LEGO Minecraft summer sets:

  • The bakery: $20 | 154 pieces
  • The Lower Bastion: $35 | 300 pieces
  • The Ice Palace: $50 | 499 pieces
  • The red barn: ~$70 | 799 pieces
  • The City of Lamas: $130 | 1,252 pieces

On the LEGO Creator front, we already detailed one of the upcoming summer 2022 builds, the Viking Ship and Midgard Serpent, due out in August. There are now two other models that 9to5Toys can report will be coming out alongside it. First up is the new Creator 3-in-1 Noodle Shop which arrives as set number 31131. This 569-piece creation features the main build of a ramen shop and an apartment, but can be rebuilt into a game or bike shop. . While we wait for the official price, this will probably enter the $49.99 MSRP.

Then, as the second of the new 3-in-1 Creator sets was revealed today, there’s an unnamed ocean-themed build as kit number 31130. This cheaper set will allow you to recreate various underwater encounters with marine life such as an octopus, lobster and manta ray along with submarines and the like. Piece count is still unknown, but we can expect this one to retail for $19.99 with approximately 200 bricks.

City gets on the LEGO summer 2022 with three waves

Check out the biggest waves of new summer LEGO games. The main focus this time around for the 2022 season is another batch of City Stuntz creations, arriving with some new expansion packs and games. All of them are detailed below, but it is worth highlighting some of the new elements incorporated into the LEGO catalog.

  • Stunt bike: $10 | 15 pieces
  • Bathtub Trick Bike: $10 | 14 pieces
  • Obstacle Stunt Challenge: $20 | 154 pieces

Along with the more action-focused side of the upcoming lineup, we’ll also be getting some additional details on the more typical side of the LEGO City series. In addition to the farm sets we reported on last week, there are other builds to expand your city layout.

Lastly, the LEGO City summer lineup is also taking a fresh go at hybrid play with some new sets that are paired with virtual experiences. These upcoming builds will set themselves apart from the rest of the new builds by combining a base build with tons of additional parts that can be used in conjunction with an app to guide builders in changing sets based on in-game scenarios. Each will be sold for $29.99 and are detailed below.

  • Animal rescue missions: $30 | 246 pieces
  • Space exploration missions: $30 | 298 pieces

Latest LEGO Ninjago Sets Release Summer 2022

The latest Ninjago series will also arrive later this summer, although all kits will be released in June, unlike the other sets, which will be released on August 1. After our glowing review of the Ultra Combine Mech from earlier in the year, I’m really excited to get a closer look at some of these other models.

  • Jay’s Gold Dragon motorcycle: $20 | 137 pieces
  • Zanes Golden Dragon Squirt: $30 | 258 pieces
  • Dragon Temple: $40 | 161 pieces
  • Coles dragon car: $40 | 384 pieces

While we wait for some of the most popular properties like Star Wars and Disney to reveal new LEGO sets, we take a look at a number of new Disney builds. After its themed debut last year, the current Mickey Mouse lineup is getting at least three new models.

  • Mickey and Minnie Camp: $20 | 103 pieces
  • Mickey, Minnie and Goofy at the Fair: $30 | 184 pieces
  • Mickey’s Castle Adventure: ~$40 | 215 pieces

On the Disney Princess front, we’re also getting a couple of castle-themed games. They look nothing like the more massive and complete recreations released in the past, but are scaled-down models for younger builders to enjoy.

  • Anna and Olaf’s fun at the castle: $30 | 108 pieces
  • Cinderella Castle: $70 | 365 pieces

cute boy

The latest for the LEGO Summer 2022 reveals before August 1st, we’re getting a couple of new Monkie Kid sets. There have been some rumors about the LEGO Group pushing back the series here in the US and other more western regions due to the builds not really resonating with younger builders, so the smaller wave here makes sense. That said, both of these new models maintain the high quality and flashy builds we’ve seen in the past.

  • Eastern Dragon: $80 | 880 pieces
  • Monkie Kids Team Transporter: $130 | 1,406 pieces
