Warzone ‘Wind’ Glitch Is Sending Players Out Of Bounds

A Call of Duty: Warzone player shares an unfortunate incident that took place while parachuting, or attempting to, onto Rebirth Island.

It’s been a great week for call of duty: war zone fans as the Season 2 Reloaded update arrived recently with new content and changes. Near the midpoint of most seasons, Raven issues a Reloaded update that adds a lot of new content along with much-requested fixes. For Season 2 Reloaded, the update added new game modes like Arms Race, a new map called Alpine, a new playable operator known as Gustavo along with his Armaguerra 43 SMG, and many other features as well.

However, one of the biggest additions to the game with this update is the Rebirth Island overhaul. Known as Rebirth Reinforced, Raven has made several changes to the map, such as overhauling less popular POIs like the Shore and Security Station. Now called Docks and Fortress respectively, both areas have been given new buildings and features to make them more attractive. While the many changes have been appreciated by players, it seems that not everything went smoothly, as a new bug is causing a bit of chaos for those entering it.

revealed in the call of duty: war zone subReddit, a user by the name of braggster92 posts a short clip of them redeploying to Rebirth Island during a battle royale. Unsurprisingly, the player activates their parachute as they approach the ground, gliding to the exact spot they ultimately want to land on. However, the game had other ideas as the player’s descent begins to snag and hiccup, pushing them into the sea. Unfortunately for them, they drifted so far off course that they were unable to return to the playable map space.

Although unfortunate at the time, users in the Reddit thread seemed to have a good laugh at the clip. Most agreed that the lag spike was most likely due to server-related issues call of duty: war zone was experiencing at the time, and some even admitted that they found themselves in a similar situation. A user named YouLostMeThere43 even jokes that the game gives the player just enough hope that he will have a chance to return before he finally pulls the rug out for them.

While the servers seem to have stabilized for now, Raven has turned their attention to fixing a very frustrating technical issue related to war zone Battle pass progression. Players have been reporting since March that the battle pass progression felt broken and wasn’t rewarding as much XP as expected. While Raven has acknowledged the issue and is working on a fix, there are those who are upset that the developer took so long to respond considering players weren’t receiving the correct amount of XP due.
