With the Warzone Pacific Season 2 Reloaded update gone, we’re looking at when we can expect the Classified Arms Season 3 update, its confirmed changes, and what it will include.
Warzone Pacific Season 2 has been one of the game’s most well-received seasons, with the changes to both Vanguard Royale and Caldera being very well received by the community. Lots more changes came in the Season 2 Mid-Update, and now Season 3 will be the next big content drop.
Here’s everything we know about Warzone Pacific Season 3 so far, including its start date, expected content, and confirmed changes.
When does Warzone Pacific Season 3 start? Season 2 end date
Thanks to the official Call of Duty Twitter page we know that Warzone Pacific Season 3 will kick off on April 27, 2022, in 9am PT/12pm ET/5pm BST. The official start date was revealed on April 13 along with a new trailer. This was what most players were hoping for, as this date lines up with the Season 2 Battle Pass expiration.
Keep in mind that Warzone Pacific Season 2 was pushed back a fortnight, so don’t be too surprised if Raven Software decides to push Season 3 back a bit as we get closer to the release date.
Warzone Pacific Season 3 Godzilla vs Kong: Operation Monarch Event
After many teases, Call of Duty fans have finally gotten official confirmation of a Godzilla vs Kong crossover. It looks like these two massive monsters will have a significant impact on Warzone Pacific Season 3 as an in-game event called Operation Monarch will be launched on May 11.
Both monsters will lay siege to Caldera wreaking havoc across the island. Although the exact details of the event are unknown, players can expect to see “ancient cave paintings, massive skulls, and an otherworldly axe.”
Right now, we know that Operation Monarch will introduce players to a new game mode for Quads. While Operation Monarch won’t begin until May 11, players will be able to uncover secrets when Season 3 launches on April 27.
Another important detail of this monster crossing is the location of a top secret armory. Players have yet to take a look at these prototype weapons, but they’re sure to be powerful if they’re made to take on Godzilla and King Kong.
Warzone Pacific Season 3 New Weapons
four new Vanguard Weapons will hit the rotation in Season 3. Weapons include the M1916 marksman rifle, Nikita AVT Assault Rifle, melee deck weaponY H4 Blixen submachine gun.
The M1916 and Nikita AVT will be available when the season starts on April 27, but the Sledgehammer and H4 Blixen will arrive with the mid-season update. For more information on the new weapons, check out our Vanguard Season 3 guide.
Caldera Map Changes Coming to Warzone Season 3
Since two hulking monsters are taking over the Caldera, there are sure to be some rebuilt areas. To start with, players will be able to discover a new POI called excavation site.
The new POI will be “Located between the mine and the ruins”. If you plan to visit the Dig Site, chances are you’ll come across the remains of ancient creatures buried deep within the ground.
In addition to this new POI, existing POIs will also receive updates to change their appearance. Landing track, Y lagoon everyone will receive important updates. Warzone players have been asking for changes to Peak and you’ll notice that the POI has now been strengthened.
“All buildings atop the Peak are fully constructed, with a fresh coat of paint revealing the symbol of the mysterious global organization known as Monarch, the cryptozoological defense force investigating Titan activity on the island.”
Other changes include offering more visibility and less cover around the track point of interest, as well as new ships to explore near the Lagoon. Lastly, the developers teased that the hidden secrets are “shaking and rumbling under the island.” We’ll likely find out more about this before the mid-season update.
Warzone Season 3 new Gulag and gameplay
Those aren’t the only changes coming to the map, as players will also experience an entirely new Gulag. Players will move from the mines below the Caldera to an area called the cellar.
“Enter the Hold: A new Gulag developed by Toys for Bob. This more or less symmetrical arena is based on the belly of a ship moored off the Caldera coast, with identical walkways around the perimeter of an open space.
The developers are also teasing some additional gameplay changes coming to Rebirth Island: “Look out for another Rebirth twist on a classic.” war zone the mode will come from Beenox when the mid-season update arrives.”
Raven has confirmed that Iron Trials will be playable in Caldera in Season 3. This is great news for fans of the intense game mode.
Finally, the Season 3 roadmap also hints that the “new game” will arrive with Classified Arms. While there’s no word yet on what that could be, we’ll keep you posted on potential new game modes in Warzone.
New Operators and Packs in Warzone Season 3
Of course, with a new Season comes new Operators. Season 3 will introduce players to Task Force Harpy, which includes matthew hernandez, florence carterY young kim tae. Mateo will be available at the start of Season 3, while Florence and Kim will arrive later.
Additionally, the roadmap also shows Godzilla and King Kong bundles looking to highlight some sort of Monster Operator skins. Players were skeptical about the possibility of Godzilla and King Kong skins, but begged the developers anyway.
Apart from all this new content, we can also expect settings for directional footstep audio in Warzone Pacific Season 3.
Speaking to content creators and the press in February, in addition to announcing Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, Raven Software confirmed that footstep audio adjustments are planned for the Season 3 update.
Sniper nerfs confirmed for Warzone season 3
Snipers have long been one of the most powerful tools in Call of Duty: Warzone, but that will change with Season 3.
Raven Software creative director Ted Timmins confirmed that sniper rifles would see nerfs in Season 3, telling content creators the Baka Bros that “we plan on a weapon change for snipers. I’m happy to say that.” He explained, “I feel pretty good about where we’re going with that.”
The Iron Trials mode has previously made it so that snipers can only land a headshot within a certain distance, but we’ll have to wait for more information to find out the range of the nerfs.
