It’s been years since Minecraft came on the scene and provided a deep pastime in the form of online gaming. Even to this day, new versions of the main game are coming out, while the base model community remains strong and active.
Despite its simplistic appearance, there are many layers and aspects to the Minecraft experience. You can spend all your time adventuring, creating, hunting and just trying to live a virtual life in a world that is both beauty and danger. A key mechanic is the different machines you can use to build and modify resources, such as the handy-dandy composter.
What is a composter?
Just like its real-life counterpart, the Minecraft Composter is meant to be used for composting. By filling all the slots in the Composter, can convert a variety of materials and resources into bone meal. This is important as bone meal is necessary to create dyes to add a bit of color and flair to whatever structure and armor you’re making. It is also very useful in agriculture as it can be used as an effective fertilizer.
There are other ways to get bonemeal, such as making them from bones using a craft tablenegotiating with him wandering Trader, Y plundering them from various types of fish. However, the most reliable way is to use a composter, since that is its main purpose.
For the Composter to work efficiently, you will need fill it until it’s full. This can be achieved by stacking compostable items like vegetation and food and then scoop up the bone meal once it’s done.
To create a Composter, you will need at least seven wooden slabs arranged in the form of a wastebasket on the work table. To make a wooden slab, you will need wooden planks, which you can align to the bottom row of the crafting screen. Aligning three wooden planks of the same type will produce a stack of six wooden slabs of that type
Fortunately, you can use any combination of wooden slabs to make a compost bin.
How to use the composter
Of all the tools you can use in Minecraft, the Composter is one of the most gradual and demanding. For it to make bone meal, you’ll need to fill it to seven layers of compostable items. However, not all types of plants or foods produce the same amount of compost, so keep that in mind when adding them to the composter.
Lower value compostable items include very small and common things such as leaves, grass, seeds, roots, and berries. If you plan to fill the composter with just these, you’ll need more than 20. Adult plants like cacti, vines, produce, and mushrooms have higher performance and only require more than ten of them.
On the other hand, the most effective compostable items are fully cooked foods. such as baked potatoes, cookies, bread, cake, and pumpkin pie. Throwing any of those into the composter has a higher chance of raising the compost layer and it all fills up with just seven or eight of them.
