Since going public in 2011, Minecraft It has been one of the most popular survival games among players of all ages and skill levels with extreme replay value. One of the most prevalent features in the game is farming mobs for their loot. Some of these item drops are essential to progressing through the world, including the Fire Rod.
Minecraft it is no different from most games in that the required items are difficult to obtain. For those players who need to farm a Fire Rod, the path to getting just one requires many steps. While the journey may require some effort, the player can eventually create a personal llama farm for an endless supply of llama rods.
8/8 Collect obsidian to make an underworld portal
The first thing players will need to do to start farming Fire Rods is create a Nether Portal. This step requires the collection of specific supplies to build the entrance, including a minimum of ten obsidian blocks. Unfortunately, this step is not as easy as it sounds because obsidian is not a readily available material and it rarely occurs in nature. Players will most likely find it underground exploring until they find lava pools. Obsidian forms when running water flows over lava.
Once they find the obsidian, they can’t just mine it with any tool, as it’s incredibly difficult. Requires a diamond or netherite pickaxe. There is also another potential issue players may face. Beneath all that beautiful obsidian you just found in the caves there will most likely be lava pools, so when you break a block it will just fall into the lava and be destroyed. They’ll have to be sneaky, using water on adjacent blocks to immediately cover the lava as soon as you break the obsidian.
7/8 Collect or craft a flint and steel
The next step is to get a Flint and Steel. While this fire-starting tool can be found in dungeons and Nether Fortresses, it’s much quicker to just make one, especially considering that players can’t get to a Nether Fortress until they finish building the Nether Portal.
To make one, players will need a flint and an iron ingot. They will have to find gravel blocks and break them to get flint. A couple of steps will need to be completed for the iron ingot. First, players must find iron that they can mine with a stone pickaxe. Once they have a block, they must melt it down in a furnace to create the ingot. Finally, they will craft a flint and steel using the flint and iron ingot.
6/8 Create a nether portal
Using at least ten obsidian blocks and four other blocks of any origin, which don’t have to be the best building blocks, players will need to create a Nether Portal. You will need to start by placing two of the obsidian blocks between two of the other blocks directly on the ground to form the base of your portal.
They will then build the sides with three obsidian blocks per piece, placing one of the other blocks on top of each of these stacks. Between the two different blocks at the top, they must place the remaining two blocks of obsidian to complete the frame. Taking Flint and Steel, players will light up the interior, creating an active portal to the Nether. At this point, the four different blocks can be removed.
5/8 Don’t go out unprepared
When players venture into the Nether, it’s best to be prepared or they won’t get very far. They will need armor and weapons, at a minimum. The better they can do them, the more successful they will be. At a minimum, melee weapons should be constructed of iron and a crossbow with plenty of arrows should be carried.
Players should not forget their Flint and Steel. If the portal is turned off because a ghast fireball damages one of the portal blocks, they will be stranded without it until it is turned back on. Food is essential in the Nether, as in the rest of the game. Players need to make sure they pack enough to survive the journey because without it, they will lose their ability to regenerate health and will eventually succumb to their enemies.
4/8 Traverse the Nether in search of a Nether Fortress
After players enter a Nether Portal, they must find a Nether Fortress. The best way to do it is by going around. They spawn randomly, so there’s no map to guide players to one. There will also be plenty of mobs to fight along the way, allowing you to collect a lot of items and experience, but some will be hostile and hard to beat.
Once they finally find one Nether Fortress, they will have to travel a significant distance to find another. Therefore, players must stick with the one they find or risk exhausting all of their resources.
3/8 Locate a Flame Generator inside the Nether Keep.
Unfortunately, there is no great trick to locating a flame spawner in a Nether Fortress. Players will have to wander the corridors until they find one. Once you find one, you’ll also find a blaze mob, which consists of a maximum of three blazes, making it a smaller mob. The best tactic is to shoot them from afar with a crossbow or bow and arrow. These enemies shoot at players, so they must keep their distance.
As they kill llamas, these enemies can drop fire rods, which is why players sought them out. The Blazes have a reasonably high drop rate of 50%; however, the player must physically kill them. The only other acceptable method is for a tame wolf to do the job. The success rate of farming fire rods can be increased by using the Plunder enchantment. Usually, when a blaze throws a blaze rod, he will only throw one. With this enchantment activated, he can drop up to four, increasing player looting to new heights.
2/8 Spawn Proof, Blaze spawns and builds a containment chamber
Once players have found a flame spawner, they must prevent it from spawning in order to catch it. To do this, you will need to build a platform around it using a solid 9×9 block and place a light source around the player on the platform.
To keep a flame spawner contained, it must be kept inside a glass containment chamber. Even the roof must be built with glass blocks. Players must build three blocks above and four blocks below where the generator is located and create a lava floor with a hole in the center below the generator. The lava will be used to move the flames into the hole.
1/8 Farm Without Limits
Under the center hole, build a tube under the hole to catch the flames as they fall. They will be easy to destroy at this location. Players can also place a chest directly under the tube to easily collect loot.
Once they create their own llama farm, players can farm llama rods until they are never needed again. In addition to all the blaze rods, you’ll get a nice boost in XP.
