What is it and is it worth buying?

Fortnite’s monthly subscription service called Fortnite Crew offers a lot to players, but is it worth the money?

Fortnite Crew started during Chapter 2 Season 5 in 2020. Since then, fans who purchased this subscription service received a number of unique cosmetics and more.

However, for those who are new to Fortnite or those who want to dive into the Chapter 3 Season 4 Battle Pass, the Fortnite Crew subscription could be an attractive option.

What is the Fortnite crew?

Fortnite Crew is a monthly subscription service within Fortnite that offers players a variety of in-game items and rewards.

Like Netflix or Xbox Game Pass, Fortnite will charge users monthly. In exchange for the subscription, members will get cosmetics, V-Bucks, and more.

How much does the Fortnite Crew subscription cost?

The Fortnite Crew subscription costs $11.99/£9.99/€11.99 per month.

However, it’s worth noting that the items within the Fortnite Crew subscription cost significantly more when combined.

What is included in the Fortnite Crew subscription?

The Fortnite Crew subscription offers players three unique rewards that you will receive monthly:

  • Full access to the Battle Pass
  • the crew pack
  • 1000 bucks

The Crew Pack is by far the most exclusive item offered in the Fortnite Crew subscription. It is an exclusive outfit pack that provides players with cosmetics that cannot be purchased anywhere else.

Within the Crew Pack, you will receive an exclusive outfit and at least one accompanying accessory, such as a glider, pickaxe, or emote.

Do you lose your Fortnite Crew items if you cancel your subscription?

No, you will not lose your Fortnite Crew items if you cancel your monthly subscription.

Any cosmetics you have earned through the Crew Pack, you will keep. You will also keep the 1,000 V-Bucks you earn from the subscription.

In addition, you will also be able to keep the Battle Pass and all your progression in it. You do not lose access to the Battle Pass and you will be able to continue your progression until the end of the season.

However, if you request a full refund of the Fortnite Crew subscription, you will lose access to all Crew Pack cosmetics, Battle Pass, and V-Bucks earned through the subscription.

Of course, if you choose to restart your subscription, you will again receive the V-Bucks and Crew Pack Outfits.

Is the Fortnite Crew subscription worth it?

If you’re a fan of Fortnite or looking to get started, then the Fortnite Crew subscription is definitely worth it.

Simply from a monetary point of view, the content of the Fortnite Crew subscription is worth more than the cost of admission.

For example, to get the Battle Pass you need to buy 1000 V-Bucks for $7.99/£6.49. The Fortnite Crew subscription comes with 1,000 V-Bucks and the Battle Pass, which costs roughly $16/£13.

How to cancel your subscription to Fortnite Crew

The way to cancel your Fortnite Crew subscription is different depending on the platform you are playing Fortnite on. Here’s how you do it for each platform:

PC and mobile

  • go to the epic games website
  • Login to your account
  • Click on your username at the top right
  • Select “Account”
  • On the left side, find Subscriptions and select it.
  • Select the settings icon next to the Fortnite Crew subscription
  • Choose “Cancel Subscription”

Xbox (via console)

  • Find the Settings app in the My games & apps folder.
  • On the left side, select the Account option
  • Select the “Subscriptions” tab
  • Click on Fortnite Crew
  • Choose “Turn off recurring billing”

Xbox (via Microsoft website)

  • go to the microsoft website
  • Login to your account.
  • At the top, select the option “Services and Subscriptions”
  • Find your Fortnite Crew subscription and select “Manage”.
  • In the new window, select the option “Deactivate recurring billing”
Do not select Cancel Subscription. This will take you to a support page where you can request a refund. This will cause you to lose access to all of your Fortnite Crew items.

  • Go to your Settings menu
  • Select Account Management
  • Choose Account Information and then PlayStation Subscriptions
  • Find the Fortnite Crew subscription and turn off auto-renew
  • You may be prompted to sign in to your PlayStation account; just follow the instructions on the screen

ps5

  • Go to your Settings menu
  • Select users and accounts
  • Choose Account, then Payment and Subscriptions
  • Go down to Subscriptions
  • Find the Fortnite Crew subscription and turn off auto-renew

PlayStation (via PlayStation Store)

  • go to the Playstation Store website
  • Login to your account
  • Select your account icon, which is located in the upper right corner
  • Choose Subscription Management
  • Select “Turn off auto-renew” in the Fortnite Crew section

  • Access Nintendo eShop through your HOME page
  • Enter your password (if necessary)
  • Select your account icon, which is located in the upper right corner
  • Look for “Subscriptions” on the left side
  • Choose your Fortnite Crew subscription and select “Turn off auto-renew”
