The 8 Scariest Minecraft Hostile Mobs in 2022

There are quite a few mobs in Minecraft, many of them hostile. These mobs pose a serious challenge for many players. Many of them can also be quite scary.

They all have different traits that make them scary, like the Enderman and his ability to teleport or the sound effects of a creeper. For whatever reason, there are a lot of absolutely terrifying mobs. Here are the scariest in the game right now.

Minecraft Monsters That Will Scare Players To Death

8) bindweed

Creepers are terrifying for one main reason: they appear out of nowhere. Minecraft players are often minding their own business by doing everyday chores, and then all of a sudden, everything blows up. This also often happens at the worst times. They may be fighting a horde of zombies when a creeper appears and kills them all.

The crackling sound effect that has become painfully familiar to all players is the sound of nightmares. It means that death or destruction is coming in a matter of seconds.

7) Brute Piglin

Piglin Brutes are scary because they attack in hordes. All Piglin Brutes in an area will gather together and head towards the nearest player and have projectile weapons very often. They’re like a combination of zombies (although they’re much faster) and raiders, which is a scary combination.

They can deal a lot of damage in a very short time, so these terrifying creatures are best avoided at all costs.

6) Elder Guardian

The Elder Guardian is terrifying for several reasons. To begin with, it is strong and unwieldy. Second, it can only be found underwater, which brings up a whole new set of challenges. Finally, Mining Fatigue is one of the worst status effects to deal with and Elder Guardian gives it at any time.

5) Ghost

Ghosts are usually not seen until they attack. They hide in the night sky and descend at carefully chosen times, usually when Minecraft players least expect it. The random hit of damage and blood-curdling scream they let out is the closest thing Minecraft has to a jump scare.

The ghosts are also quite strong and difficult to kill, which makes them even scarier. It can even be difficult to land enough hits on a ghost on any given night.

4) evocative

Evokers are Minecraft’s resident spell casters, and they’re absolutely horrible. Exploring a Woodland Mansion is hard enough with Vindicators and other mobs running around, but Evokers are on another level. Entering their vicinity means they will send out a Vex or Fangs. These can come from up to 12 blocks away, making it extremely difficult to get close enough to kill them.

They are also capable of dealing a lot of damage, so getting a immortality totem of them is so difficult.

3) wither skeleton

Wither Skeletons only reside in the Nether, adding to their terrifying nature. They carry swords and move at a good speed, which makes them a bit more challenging than other mobs.

What really sets them apart is the fact that just a couple of hits from one can be the end of everything. The wither effect does a lot of damage and receiving it can be an almost automatic kill.

2) Ender-man

Endermen can teleport, which is the main reason they’re so terrifying. They also have an intimidating build, being much taller than the players and all black with purple eyes. However, the fact that they can appear out of nowhere and attack before disappearing again is a good reason for Minecraft players to try and avoid them.

1) warden

However, the Warden is by far the scariest mob. The scariest Minecraft biome resides in Deep Dark. Everything is dark and every move around the Guardian can result in almost immediate death. This mob can kill players with one or two hits and has a strong ranged attack. That alone is reason enough to be scared.
