For years, Pokemon fans have used version differences to decide which of the two newly released games to buy, and Scarlet & Violet should be no different. Here’s an overview of all the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet version exclusives.

Since the release of Pokémon Blue and Red in 1996, Pokémon fans have had to choose between several versions of the main entries in the franchise. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will present the same dilemma to players as they welcome the ninth generation of Pokémon.

While most gamers are interested in discovering the exclusive version of Pokémon that is attached to each of the games, Scarlet and Violet will feature more version differences than ever before when they release on November 18.

Here is everything you need to know about the version differences between Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Scarlet and purple exclusive pokemon

Ceruledge and Armarouge Pokémon Scarlet Violet

It will not be a surprise to know that legendary boxes Koraidon and Miraidon It will be an exclusive version of Pokémon. Koraidon is the face of Pokémon Scarlet, while Miraidon is synonymous with Pokémon Violet.

These two Legendary Pokémon will be your method of transportation around the Paldea region by land, water, and air. Make your choice wisely as you will likely see a lot of Koraidon and Miraidon.

It was also revealed that Ceruledge (left) and Armarouge (right) will be available in purple and scarlet respectively. These Pokémon are new introductions to the series from the Paldea region.

The Pokémon Company also confirmed that the pseudo-legendary evolution lines of Tyranitar and Salamence will be exclusive versions. Larvitar will appear exclusively in Pokémon Scarlet, while Bagon will only be found in Violet.

In addition, the eighth generation of Pokémon Stonjourner and Eiscue will also be exclusive versions for Scarlet and Violet respectively.

Professors of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Paldea

Professor Sada and Turo Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

For the first time in the Pokémon franchise, players will have a different teacher depending on which version they select.

Professor Sada seen on the left is one of the two professors in the Paldea region and appears in Pokémon Scarlet. Meanwhile, Turo seen on the right is the professor you’ll find in Pokemon Violet.

As can be seen from the teachers’ attire, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet seem to be establishing a theme of old versus new. It remains to be seen how this will affect Scarlet and Violet’s gameplay, but their environment and character designs may vary.

Scarlet & Violet Academy and Outfits

The largest city of Paldea in the region, Mesagoza, is the home of the academy you will attend. Scarlet players will visit the Orange Academy, while Violet players will hone their skills at the Grape Academy.

According to a Pokémon blog: “In scarlet pokemon Y Pokemon Violetthe name of the school, its emblem, its uniforms and other details will vary depending on the version of the game you are playing.

The uniform colors of Naranja and Uva Academy vary to match the color theme of the respective title. Pokemon Sword and Shield introduced the concept of version-exclusive gym leaders, and while there’s no sign of them in Scarlet and Violet, we’ll keep you posted as more information comes to light.
