*LATEST* Servers back online

The Fortnite 21.50 update has now been fully implemented and the game servers are back online and playable for everyone to enjoy and explore the added changes immediately.

However, to see some of the upcoming changes, take a look below at some of the leaks this downtime has provided us.

Island Changes

Perhaps one of the strangest changes in this update was Submitted by ShiinaBR who revealed massive changes to the islands east of Sanctuary. The largest of those islands has apparently gained cliffs similar to those at Lazy Lagoon (formerly The Daily Bugle).

New weapons filtered by challenges

iFireMonkey also gave us a look at upcoming weekly challenges and potentially leaked the addition of some weapons ahead of time with some timed missions.

The weapons that appear in Week 13 and Week 14 are:

  • shadow bombs
  • shield bubbles
  • suppressed submachine gun
  • suppressed RA
  • Primal Flame Bow
  • dragon’s breath shotgun

double jump

According to iFireMonkey, a new sound display icon for a double jump has been added, suggesting that a new jump feature will be added in the near future or is at least being worked on in the background.

Added dead game skin

If you’ve been on social media for any length of time while playing Fortnite, chances are you’ve seen the flood of “Game Dead” messages popping up from players who don’t like Battle Royale.

A common meme in the gaming community for multiplayer games, it appears that Fortnite is now looking into these users, by adding a skin that pokes fun at the idea of the game, likely as the next starter pack skin.

*UPDATE* New TikTok Dance Emote in Season 4

As one of the most popular social media platforms, TikTok has had many of its memes and dances in Fortnite with the latest set to be the “Jiggle Jiggle” dance, as featured above in-game by MidaRado.

The emote could appear in next season’s battle pass.

*UPDATED* Rainbow Royale + Battlebus

Rainbow Royale returns to Fortnite once again with a new set of skins and other cosmetics and this time, potentially even a themed Battle Bus will join the party after the one from Dragon Ball is removed.

Added two new loading screens, with HD look provided by reliable Fortnite iFireMonkey leaker.

The in-game event will also feature an in-game rainbow and a colorful aurora in the sky to celebrate the Rainbow Royale event as shown below by FN_Twitter Support.

Junk Junktion possibly coming back

According to HYPEX and various other sources, a new POI has been added in this Fortnite update by the name of “Logjam Junction”. While not confirmed, many players believe this will see the return of Junk Junktion in some form, taking over from the popular location that was added in Season 3.

*UPDATED* Update sizes

Thanks to the German Fortnite leaker MidaRado, we now know the Fortnite update sizes on some of the different platforms. We will list them below:

  • Xbox One – 6GB
  • Xbox X/S-4.4GB
  • PS5-2.3GB
  • PC-1.42GB

A locker bundle has been added to the Fortnite Item Shop which includes the Tsuki skin, Tahna Back Bling, Studded Pickaxe, Rainbow Rodeo weapon wrap, and Reanimated emote.

The bundle was first released in Chapter 2 Season 6 and will likely still cost players who want it 2,100 V-Bucks once it becomes purchasable again. The items were selected by the typical players themselves.

Downtime now running

The 21.50 Fortnite update is now being added to the game and the servers have been removed while the update is rolling out.

21.50 Launch date

21.50 launch time

The date, according to the trusted Fortnite leaker and news source HIPEXit is scheduled for Tuesday, August 30, 2022 with a smaller update (known as 21.51) scheduled for a week later.

While this date is not officially confirmed, it aligns with the weekly quests we currently know of, and new ones will be added with the update.

The date will be officially confirmed a week before when it is added to the test servers and we can expect the update to arrive at the usual time of 1am PST / 4am EST / 9am BST.

21.50 Server downtime.

There will be a period of server downtime between 2-4 hours when the 21.50 Fortnite update is added to the game.

During this time, no player will be able to log into Fortnite.

An additional 30 minute downtime before the update begins ensures that no players are in the game while the changes are being made.

*UPDATED* What to expect from 21.50

According to reliable Fortnite Leaker and news source HYPEX, the 21.50 update is likely to show more information about the latest Crew Pack and the possible return of the Pump Shotgun.

The biggest thing to expect from Fortnite Update 21.50, though, is the possibility of more leaks and information finally being revealed regarding Season 4, something we currently know very little about.

This update could finally reveal the theme for the upcoming season, including its battle pass and more if we’re lucky, though we won’t know anything officially until the update arrives.

Any added or changed content is likely to set the end of Season 3 before Season 4 arrives in September, with the ongoing growth and development of the Reality Tree on the Fortnite island likely at its core.

The “Vibin'” questline and reality-distorting themes of this season suggest that the event at the end of Season 3 will likely involve it, so expect to keep growing and distorting the map.
