Peely is erased by the Demogorgon in a new fan-made animation

Peely is one of the most beloved characters in Fortnite. Even though he helped save reality at the end of Chapter 3 Season 2, he’s still just a clumsy banana. For this reason, putting him in a situation involving combat is not ideal. He would probably shoot himself in the foot or slip and fall on something or other.

Taking this into consideration, a YouTube content creator known as FeraalsVFX created a recreation of one of the most brutal scenes in Stranger Things. Suffice to say, Peely and his cronies don’t stand a chance against a powerful Demogorgon.

Peely and his Fortnite friends are slaughtered while facing a Demogorgon

For fans of the series, it’s an understatement to say that the Demogorgons are powerful. These creatures that come from the Upside Down are a manifestation of pure evil. They are strong, fast and kill on sight.

With this in mind, FeraalsVFX remade the infamous fight scene between the Demogorgon and the Russian inmates, who ironically were all Peelys. Given their demeanor and lack of wit, they hardly put up a fight against the monstrosity.

According to the creator of the video, this short trailer/teaser is a concept for a new Fortnite x Stranger Things collaboration. Since Epic Games has not been able to get the right to have the official collaboration cosmetics in the Item Shop, this will have to suffice. That said, here’s what some fans have to say about the animation.

@Feraalsy Why is it unfinished? Looks great.

@Feraalsy Did you know that this scene took the developers of Strangers Things so long and you’re here making it look easy? I wonder how long it took you 🤔

@Feraalsy Enough with this hate Peely. Also great animation!

@Feraalsy pleaseeeeeee #Netflix #Fortnite 🥹 I don’t want to lose hope, but it’s also not fair that the recent season launches without the cosmetics coming back for at least one other collaboration 😭

Among the accolades, some fans noted that a Peely randomly disappeared during the fight. Although it is rare, since it is an unfinished animation, criticizing it is pointless. Moving on, another topic of conversation for many is when will Fortnite collaborate with Stranger Things? Well, from the looks of it, that’s not likely to happen and there’s a good reason for it.

Stranger Things has overtaken Fortnite

Although Stranger Things started out humble, it has surpassed Fortnite by far. That said, producers no longer require advertising and marketing in the metaverse. To add some tidbits to this perspective, as of July 5, Stranger Things 4 became the second title to cross the 1 billion hours viewed mark.

While the game has some runtime on Twitch and other streaming platforms, the viewer count and hours watched are unmatched by Stranger Things. With the franchise now synonymous with pop culture, there’s no need for cosmetics or crossover events in video games.

That said, cosmetics will likely never be added to the Item Shop again. Of course, those who own the two Stranger Things skins/outfits will keep them, but no one else will be able to use or obtain them. With the show slated to have another season, there’s no stopping this hype train.

On that note, the Chief Hopper and Demogorgon skins are now considered ultra rare in the game. Both were last seen approximately 1012 days ago. Perhaps in the distant future, Netflix decides to collaborate with Fortnite once again, and maybe then these cosmetics will be available for purchase. Until then, loopers should remain optimistic.
