5 Minecraft blocks that need new features

In Minecraft, blocks are the basic units that make up each and every biome. When players first enter the world, they quickly begin to break and obtain blocks from the world. Later, they create new types of blocks from the naturally generated ones and start progressing further. However, there are some blocks in the game that don’t have important features related to it.

Most of the blocks can be turned into other useful items or used by the player to complete certain tasks in the game. For example, blocks like workbenches and ovens are the most useful to players and are used frequently. However, some game blocks may benefit from new features that will make them interesting in the future.

5 Minecraft blocks that deserve new features

5) Granite

When players go mining in Minecraft, they will come across various types of stone blocks like diorite, granite, etc. However, only the stone block is more useful to players. Blocks like granite often go unnoticed simply because they don’t have many features.

Granite can only be made into polished granite and used as a building block. Other than that, it only serves as a terrain block. If Mojang adds some special items that can be crafted from this block, it will give players a reason to mine it.

4) Copper

When Mojang first introduced copper to the game in 2020, players were very excited to see a new type of earth metal being added to the game. However, after the addition of copper, gamers were dissatisfied with the limited features it had.

While copper ingots can be used to craft spyglasses and lightning rods, the copper block version can only be oxidized and used as different block variants such as stairs and slabs. Since other metals and earth elements have many more features, copper blocks should be next on the list of new features in the future.

3) Weeping Obsidian

For a long time, players have been asking for new features to be added to the Weeping Obsidian block. This is a special variant of normal obsidian that has bright purple cracks and also drips purple drops.

Although it can be used to craft Respawn Anchors, it has no other use. Since normal obsidian has many uses, players also want weeping obsidian to have more purposes in the game.

2) tuff

In the 1.18 Caves and Cliffs part 2 update, Mojang changed the world generation of the game and added many new blocks, including tuff. This block spawns deep in the deep shale regions of the overworld and typically surrounds iron ore veins. Unfortunately, this block has no use.

It cannot be crafted into anything and can only be used as a decoration block. Since most of the new blocks added in this update have some features, Tuff has become one of the most disappointing blocks.

1) Reinforced deep slate

The wild update was released a few months ago and brought new biomes, structures, blocks, and items to the game, including deep slate reinforced blocks. Players were initially quite excited to see this new block as it was in the center of the Old City and looked like a portal frame into a new realm. Unfortunately, no portal or realm was added with the update.

Resembling normal deep slate covered with a greenish-white thorn-like texture, reinforced deep slate looks like quite a fascinating block. Players can’t get this block in survival mode and can’t even push it with a piston. One of the best features that Mojang can add to this block is to create a portal that leads to a new realm.
