streaming giant netflix inc. NFLX is highlighting your upcoming offerings with a week of previews and discussions of your content. Here’s a look at the announcements from the first day of Geeked Week, which focused on new and returning series.

What happened: the second annual Geeked Week kicked off Monday with a full week of theme days, starting with new and renewed series.

A new Addams Family spin-off series is coming out of the mind of Tim Burton. The program called “Wednesday” stars Jenna Ortega like Wednesday Addams. No release date was given for the series, and the trailer says it’s coming soon. The live-action series will consist of eight episodes.

A new horror series called “The Midnight Club” was shown in a first preview. The show comes from mike flanagan, who previously directed “The Haunting of Hill House” and “The Haunting of Bly Manor.” The series will be added to Netflix on October 7.

The “Resident Evil” video game series gets its latest adaptation with a live-action Netflix series. A new trailer featured undead dogs, a key theme of Capcom’s video game series. The franchise has seen many game releases and a handful of theatrical movies as well. “Resident Evil” will premiere on Netflix on July 14.

One of the most anticipated series of 2022 according to the interest of users in Inc. AMZN IMDb’s proprietary movie database is “The Sandman”. The series, which is an adaptation of a Neil Gaiman comic book. Netflix highlighted a new trailer, along with a release date of August 5, 2022. Ranking fourth among new series on IMDb’s list, “The Sandman” is a live-action adaptation of the comic book series from the 1980s and 1990s that appeared on the New York Times Best Seller list, a rare feat for comics and graphic novels.

Surprise hit “Sweet Tooth” gets a second season on Netflix with a “coming soon” date. The post-apocalyptic series was highlighted at Geeked Week with a behind-the-scenes video from the shoot.

The final season of “Locke and Key” debuts on Netflix on August 10, 2022 with season 3. A sneak peek of the series was shared.

The canceled TV show “Manifest” has become a hit thanks to being added to Netflix. The show, which ran for three seasons on Comcast Corporation CMCSA owned by NBC, it will have a fourth season on the streaming platform thanks to the strong reception of the previous episodes when they were added to Netflix.
