[Updated] Fortnite

New updates are being added at the end of this story…….

The original story (published March 22, 2022) is as follows:

Fortnite received the new Chapter 3 Season 2 update with new content a couple of days ago. However, it seems that the update also brought a number of issues and bugs.

For example, many gamers experience FPS drops when using DirectX 12 and it crashes after the update.

Now, Fortnite players are reporting issues affecting game mechanics, such as using Ziplines between platforms or wind turbines. Additionally, Fishing Collection Book progress is being reset for some.

Fortnite Players Can’t Use Ziplines Between Wind Turbines

Currently, many Fortnite players are unable to properly use ziplines between wind turbines and platforms to make movement easier (one, two, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9).

Same here. I can’t ride the zipline between the platforms on the island and between the two power line towers. I can go up the power line towers and down from the platforms on the island, but that’s about it. Looks like I should be able to ride the ziplines. I get the purple halo, but it just won’t start.

In some cases, players can zipline to the top of the electrical towers, but not come back down.

@FortniteStatus the zip lines that descend from the top of the power towers (or whatever they’re called) are broken. You can zipline to the top of the electrical towers, but never come back down…sometimes you get hurt by falls and sometimes you don’t.

Some players suggest that using the double or triple jump before using the zip lines could help it work. However, the overall behavior of the feature is still erratic.

Fortnite Fishing Collection Book Progress Reset For Some

Some Fortnite players are also experiencing an issue where their Fishing Collection Book progress resets. The reset can occur suddenly and without apparent explanation (one, two, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10).

Removed Fish Collection

I made some pretty solid progress on my C3S2 fish collection during the first 15 or so games. He had identified 13 fish. For some reason, all my progress is now lost. Having to start over. Is anyone else experiencing this?

@FortniteStatus @FortniteGame Fishing seems to be a bit broken. I know the fish reset at the beginning of the season, but I’ve been fishing for 2 days and got miles, but not all the fish show up in the caught fish. They were ! but then I closed and opened.

The problem is frustrating many players who see the result of their efforts disappear without being able to avoid it.

The Epic Games team is already aware

Epic Games is already aware of the two Fortnite glitches (players not being able to use Ziplines between wind turbines and the Fishing Collection Book progress resetting). The company reflects them on its public Trello board.
